Taylor Hearn - MLB Player

Taylor is a major league baseball pitcher currently in the Texas Rangers organization. Taylor is a Texas boy through and through. He was born in Dallas, Texas and was raised in Rockwall County. He graduated from Royse City High School in Royse City, Texas in 2012. He was drafted right out of high school to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He chose to further his education and played at the junior collegiate level at San Jacinto Junior College where he was drafted both years of college: 2013-Cincinnati Reds and 2014-Minnesota Twins. He chose to transfer before his junior year to Oklahoma Baptist University where in 2015 he was drafted and signed with the Washington Nationals. In 2016, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates and in 2018 he was traded to his home town team, Texas Rangers.

During the off season, Taylor loves to hang with his family and dog Rex, fishing, attending the Dallas Mavericks games and hanging with his friends.

He loves to give pitching lessons to young aspiring pitchers while he is home for the off season. In between pitching lessons, Taylor loves to speak to youth groups, FCA organizations and non-profit organizations. Taylor inspires audiences with messages of hope and love. In his testimony that he shares Taylor goes into depth about the adversities that he went through from high school to the pros. He loves to share about his love of God, the importance of self-love and self-acceptance to follow your dreams.
